Dr. C.J. is originally from Rochester, NY. After finishing high school in his home town, he went to University of Notre Dame graduated with a major in Science-Business. He later attended dental school at the University of North Carolina’s School of Dentistry, and matched into the Medical University of South Carolina’s Orthodontic Residency, where he fell in love with Charleston and its surrounding areas. Dr. C.J. is one of the few orthodontists in Charleston who is board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, which is the highest level of accreditation attainable for orthodontists, and is granted to orthodontists who are dedicated to a lifelong commitment of raising the standard of care for orthodontic treatment.

 

He knew he wanted to be an orthodontist ever since he was younger as a result of the extensive orthodontic treatment he had gone through. He loved his childhood orthodontist and started shadowing him, which piqued his interest in the field. His favorite part about being an orthodontist is developing a relationship with his patients and getting to watch them grow into their smiles.  

 

Dr. C.J. is thrilled to serve the community of Park Circle. He is excited to take part in the revitalization of one of Charleston's most welcoming and inclusive communities, and hopes his efforts make this an even-better place to live and work. 

 

When he is not creating new smiles, Dr. C.J. likes to spend his time golfing, cooking, trying new restaurants, and cheering on the Fighting Irish and Tar Heels. He also loves hanging out with his wife, Sabrina, and their rescue dog, Nellie, pictured adorably below.
